I Am My Brother’s Keeper is a hybrid feature documentary telling the true story of Lynn, a teenage girl who became her brother Bob’s sole caregiver after the death of their mother. Facing trauma, abuse, and homelessness, Lynn's story is one of unwavering love and resilience.

Why We Need Your Support

Your donation will help us complete the final phase of production: recreating pivotal scenes from Lynn and Bob’s childhood, bringing their emotional journey fully to life.
Contributions will go toward locations, cast, crew, equipment, 1970s props, crew meals, marketing (print posters, cards etc.).

Why is This Film Important?

This film will have disability representation — we’re proud to cast two actors with Down syndrome, giving voice and visibility to a community rarely seen in leading roles.
It highlights the power of resilience, showing that survival and even growth are possible after trauma.
Seeing how someone endured and found ways to cope can give others hope for their own healing.
Trauma can be difficult to talk about, but hearing someone else’s journey can break the silence and encourage others to open up.
It may help friends, family, or caregivers better understand how to support loved ones.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Depends on a few factors like if you received a reward in exchange for the donation and the value of your donation above that rewards cost, etc. You may contact the nonprofit you donated to directly to receive information on whether or not your donation is tax deductible. Nonetheless, the emailed receipts you will receive for your donation is the documentation you need to make it tax deductible.
